Every year, we reach tens of millions of children in more than 100 countries through our life-changing work. 

Around the world, too many children start life at a disadvantage simply because of where and when they are born.

Millions of children are dying from preventable causes, and face poverty, violence, disease, and hunger. They are caught up in war zones and disasters they did nothing to create. And they are denied an education and other basic rights owed to them.

All children deserve better.

Together with our many partners and supporters worldwide, we find new solutions for children, grounded in our 100+ years of expertise.

With more than 20,000 dedicated staff, employed by Save the Children International and 29 members of Save the Children,  across more than 100 countries, we respond rapidly to humanitarian emergencies, deliver innovative development programmes, and ensure children's voices are heard through our advocacy and campaigning to build a better future for and with children.

We operate programmes in:

Health and Nutrition: to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and child malnutrition and advocate for improved health systems.

Food Security & Livelihoods: to strengthen resilience and sustainable livelihoods.

Child Protection: to keep children safe from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. 

Child rights governance:  to influence policy and legislation and support the participation of children and young persons in governance matters.

Education: to help young children access early education and to advocate for education reforms.  

Adolescents & Youth: to ensure they realise their rights by giving them a voice and a platform to engage with their leaders. 

Humanitarian response: to prepare communities for disasters, and support emergency relief efforts. 

Localisation: to increase the leadership and authority of local and national actors so they can best identify and address priorities within their communities for maximum impact, including how resources are used.
