About Malaria Consortium
Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations specialising in the prevention, control and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable populations.
Malaria Consortium exists to improve health and save lives in communities affected by malaria and associated health inequities.
We believe in a world free of malaria where equitable access to healthcare empowers people and enables communities to thrive.
Our core values underpin everything we do. We live our values of accountability, integrity, respect and equity
Our mission is to save lives and improve health in Africa and Asia through evidence-based programmes that combat targeted diseases and promote universal health coverage.
Malaria Consortium began with a simple but powerful idea: that no one should die from a preventable disease. Founded by a small group of passionate individuals, we set out with a vision to improve and save lives. What started as a mission-driven collaboration soon laid the foundation for something far greater than we could have imagined.
Our journey began as advisers to the UK Government’s Department for International Development, helping shape national malaria policy. But, we wanted to do more than influence change — we wanted to deliver it. In 2003, we became a registered non-governmental organisation in the UK, transitioning from policy advisers to on-the-ground implementers.
